The Compleat Tutor for the Flute (1746)

About

The Compleat Tutor for the Flute is an instructional method for the vertical flute. Like many of the other instructional methods, the work begins with a brief explanation of flute fingerings and basic musical concepts. There is also a page on how to transpose on the flute followed by 15 pages of short pieces for the instrument. Finally, there is a brief dictionary of musical terms included at the end of the work.
